International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced that Micheál Mulvey, a specialist in M&A (mergers and acquisitions), has joined the firm as a partner in its corporate team in Dublin.

Mulvey (right, small picture) has more than 15 years’ experience advising clients on cross-border M&A, late-stage venture capital, and foreign direct investment across a range of sectors.

The firm says that the latest appointment demonstrates its continued growth in Ireland and comes in the same week as its Dublin team moved into new, larger premises on One Molesworth Street.

‘Strong message’

Simmons & Simmons recently promoted Dublin-based disputes specialist Andrea Brennan to partner level, and hired Kate Curneen as a partner in the Dublin office's banking and financial-markets team.

David Brangam (head of corporate, Simmons Dublin) said that Mulvey’s arrival sent “a strong and clear message” about the firm’s ambitions in Dublin.

“As an experienced, international M&A operator, he brings an outstanding record of delivery across a variety of sectors which neatly align with our focus,” he added.
