Request a Refund

Examination fees cannot be transferred to another sitting of this examination.  A refund of examination fees will only be given to candidates who produce medical evidence (i.e. a medical certificate from a GP or consultant) for non-attendance.  No refund will be given if a candidate is present for the examination/logs on to the examination, regardless of whether any of the examination questions were attempted.  The  closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 15 November 2024.

How to apply for a refund

Log in to your Law Society of Ireland account and go to your dashboard

  • Select My Orders

  • Select the relevant order

  • Select Request a Refund (bottom of your order screen). 

  • Complete the refund request and upload supporting documentation

  • Submit your refund
