Trainee iPads

ALL trainees must log in and choose an iPad for the upcoming PPC course. Please use your Law Society ID number (also referred to as your FE-1 number) to log in. If necessary, you have the option to reset your password.

Included in your course fees is the iPad 10.9 inch (10th Gen) Wi-Fi 64GB, which is the base model provided to all trainees.  Each trainee must confirm their selection, whether opting for the included model or choosing an upgrade.  Please note, upgrades are available at an additional cost but must be selected during the initial process.  No changes or upgrade requests will be accepted after the closing date.

We recommend that you consult the Apple website before making your choice of iPad.

All PPC trainees for the upcoming Hybrid PPC 2024 are required to select their iPad preference by 1pm on Tuesday 14 January 2025.

Please note that as of January 2025, all new iPads now include a USB-C to USB-C cable but no power adapter, in compliance with EU standards aimed at reducing electronic waster.  Trainees are advised to bring a compatible power adapter with them to ensure they can charge their device if needed while onsite.

How do I select my iPad preference?

1. Log in to the Law Society website using your Law Society ID number (also known as your FE-1 number). If you need to you can reset your password. For assistance, contact webmaster@lawsociety.ie.

1. Print off your receipt as proof of purchase. You will need this proof of purchase prior to collecting your iPad at the on-site induction day.

When will I get my iPad and what do I need to set it up?

• Your iPad will be given to you on the first on-site day of your PPC course.

• Trainee iPad deployment and setup will take place onsite. Attendance at these sessions is compulsory.

• Bring your iPad receipt as proof of purchase as you will be asked for this before the iPad is given to you.

• You will need your Apple ID username and password to setup your iPad, this is required for all trainees. If you do not already have an Apple ID you can set one up online. If you already have an Apple ID then you can check that you know the username and password.
