Christmas Shoebox Appeal

The PPC Connect team is running a shoebox appeal in aid of Team Hope.

What is the Shoebox Appeal?

Team Hope’s Christmas Shoebox Appeal is an annual campaign that delivers gifts straight into the hands of children affected by poverty. Often these shoebox gifts are the only gift that a child will receive at Christmas and the joy that they bring is incredible. Since 2010, Hope have delivered over 2.5 million Shoebox gifts to Vulnerable Children across the world.

Creating your own Shoebox

Filling a shoebox can be a very personal and thoughtful process. Creating a gift for a child living in poverty means that you can include some essentials along with some fun bits. See below for how to create the perfect shoebox gift.

Wrap the box

Wrap your regular sized shoebox in snazzy Christmas wrapping paper. Please wrap the box and the lid separately so we can easily open it.

Decide who your gift is for

(Girl or boy aged between 2-14 years). Tick the correct age group and stick the label on the top right corner of your shoe box lid. Leaflets are available at the Law Society to use. You can also print off your label from the Team Hope website.

Fill your box with lovely gifts

Team Hope has shared valuable tips on the gifts most valued by children in need, and what not to include.

Pay for your shoebox

Don’t forget to add €5 to help Team Hope get your box to a child. You can donate online or include cash in the envelope provided with the leaflet. You can place the cash envelope on top of your gifts inside the box.

Secure your box

Hold the box together with a large elastic band. Please don’t seal it with tape as we have to check each box for custom purposes. Get your boxes to the Law Society at Blackhall Place by the 8 November, or to a local drop-off point by 10 November.
