Firm repositions for ‘adversarial’ conditions
Quigg Golden, which has offered procurement and construction consultancy in Dublin, Belfast and London since the early 1990s, has relaunched as a specialist law firm.
The company has also provided alternative dispute resolution in Dublin.
Following its granting of formal approval from the Law Society of Ireland, the firm celebrated its news iteration with a launch party at its Waterloo Road, Dublin 4, office last Thursday (pictured above).
Massive changes
Quigg Golden director James Golden said there had been massive changes in construction in recent years.
“The last couple of years have seen massive changes in the construction environment. The industry has become much more adversarial where the hand shake has been replaced with adjudication notices,” said director James Golden.
“Our new status as solicitors, reflects the changing needs of the players within the industry where contractors and contracting bodies now more likely to take to the court rooms to litigate where alternative dispute resolution efforts have failed," said James.
Founded in 1995 by Edward Quigg and James Golden, the firm employs construction professionals, solicitors and barristers to advise on construction contract drafting, dispute resolution and best practice in procurement.
Quigg Golden works with contractors, sub-contractors and public sector bodies advising on construction and procurement issues and providing specialist training on contract management.
