Courts Service rolls out online leave to appeal

The Courts Service is rolling out a pilot project for solicitors to apply online for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court.

The new digital service will also be available to law offices of State bodies.

Lawyers interested in using the online application system should immediately register on the Courts Service Online system (CSOL).

The three-stage registration process involves having to create an account by choosing information from a pre-populated Law Society database.

Hard copy

Certain documents are then manually downloaded that must be filled out in hard copy, and returned by post to: Phoenix House, 15/24 Phoenix Street North, Smithfield, Dublin 7, D07 F95Y.

When the manual documentation is received by the Courts Service, an activation link issues to the email address provided, which links to a firm account on CSOL.

Technical support is also available at casu@courts.ie.
