The lawyers for the falsely convicted subject of hit Netflix series Making a Murderer are in Ireland for the next week.

Brendan Dassey's lawyers are giving a speaking tour across the country under the title False Confessions: A Conversation with Laura Nirider and Steven Drizin.

The pair will discuss coerced and false confessions, interrogation tactics, and the wrongful conviction of Brendan Dassey whose case and post-conviction process has captivated the world.

Laura Nirider is a clinical assistant professor of law and Co-Director of the Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth (CWCY) at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in Chicago.

She represents individuals who have been wrongfully convicted of crimes when they are children or teenagers.

Steven Drizin is a clinical professor of law at North Western Pritzker School of Law and studies false confessions.

The tour starts on 3 June at Vicar Street in Dublin, goes to the Opera House in Cork on 4 June, Dolans in Limerick on 5 June, Ulster Hall in Belfast on 6 June and Black Box, Galway on 8 June.
