Partner cohort at A&L Goodbody bumped up to 104
A&L Goodbody (ALG) has named 11 new partners, 27 new associates and three counsel across its Dublin, Belfast and London offices.
Eight of the appointments are in Dublin and three in Belfast and they bring the total partner cohort to 104.
Laura Butler is a new Dublin partner in asset management and funds.
Andrea Lawler is a new partner in commercial and technology and Niamh McMahon in finance.
Dispute resolution
Sarah Murphy is a new commercial dispute resolution partner while Darran Nangle takes up the role in corporate M&A.
Ciarán Ó Conluain becomes a commercial dispute resolution partner while Sinéad O'Connor is a new finance partner and Kerill O'Shaughnessy takes an asset management and funds partner role.
In Belfast, the new partners are Sam Corbett in restructuring and insolvency, David Rowan in corporate M&A, and Mark Stockdale in corporate and energy.
New role
The newly created position of "of counsel", a role similar to partner and widely seen in US and UK corporate law firms, is held by Dublin lawyers Emma Martin in insurance, Philip McQueston in tax, and Noeleen Meehan in employment.
Julian Yarr, managing partner at ALG, said: "In a fast moving and dynamic market, it's really important that we help our clients thrive. I'm confident that our newly promoted partners and senior lawyers can do that by combining deep specialist technical knowledge with broader executive and business skills honed through our award winning ALG School of Business & Law.”
