Judge Sarah Berkeley for Special Criminal Courts

Judge Sarah Berkeley (pictured) has been appointed by the Government to the Special Criminal Courts.  She will take up her position on 16 July. Judge Berkeley was appointed to the Circuit Court in March 2012.

She is replacing Judge Patricia Ryan, who is leaving the Special Criminal Courts (No 1 and No 2) from mid-July to become President of the Circuit Court.

Court of Appeal

Ms Justice Aileen Donnelly moved from the Special Criminal Court to the Court of Appeal on 25 June. Mr Justice Alexander Owens, who was appointed to the High Court earlier this year, has replaced Ms Justice Donnelly in Special Criminal Courts (No 1 and No 2).
