Law Society shortlisted for its civic engagement

The Law Society has been shortlisted for the 2019 Chambers Ireland Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) awards.

The Society's Public Legal Education programme has been nominated in the 'Excellence in Community – Community Programme – Large Indigenous Company' category.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 19 September.

Ground-breaking education projects

The Law Society actively supports public legal education (PLE) projects through a series of initiatives and engagement with solicitors, trainees and the public.

These projects, delivered by the Diploma Centre team, include Street Law, Solicitors of the Future, and the annual Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).

Established in 2004, the CSR awards recognise the work being carried out by Irish and multinational companies to improve the lives of their employees, and to enhance the civic environment in which they operate.
