McSorley is named partner at Millar McCall Wylie

Belfast firm Millar McCall Wylie has promoted personal injury specialist William McSorley to partner, following a period of significant growth for the firm.

The promotion will see Mr McSorley, who has 15 years’ experience, alongside department head Caroline Prunty, responsible for the ongoing expansion of the litigation department, as well as the wider development of the firm’s client base.

The firm’s corporate team alone has increased revenue by 100% over the last three years. The firm now boasts an employee retention rate of 95% across its two offices in Belfast. There are also plans to grow the team of 40 by 20%.

Congratulating William McSorley on his new role, managing partner Peter McCall said: “Internal progression is an essential part of Millar McCall Wylie’s continued success, and we’re delighted to be able to recognise William’s hard work and contribution to the firm with his well-deserved promotion to partner.

Extensive experience

Originally from Armagh, McSorley has extensive experience in civil litigation.

Dual-qualified, he studied law at Trinity College Dublin and practised in the Republic for several years before relocating back to his native Northern Ireland.

He has been with Millar McCall Wylie for four years.
