All-Ireland constitutional conversation is topic for Hibernian Law Journal lecture

Hibernian Law Journal annual lecture on 'constitutional conversation'

The Hibernian Law Journal annual lecture for 2019 will take place at the Law Society Education Centre this Thursday, 28 November from 18:30 – 20:30.

Entitled ‘Border tariffs, border polls or border madness? Ireland, Northern Ireland and a constitutional conversation’, this free event promises to be a thought-provoking and frank discussion.

The speakers

  • Paul Gallagher SC, 29th Attorney General,
  • Sir Paul Girvan, former Lord Justice of Appeal in Northern Ireland,
  • Professor Aileen Kavanagh, Chair of Constitutional Governance, School of Law, Trinity College Dublin,
  • Mr Justice John L. Murray, 10th Chief Justice of Ireland.

The panel will be chaired by Justice Michael Twomey, of the High Court, the judge-in-residence of the Journal.

A drinks reception will follow and the event qualifies for CPD.
