Judge John Hannan of the Circuit Court has died

Judge John Hannan of the Circuit Court passed away last Friday afternoon, 21 February.

He died peacefully at Galway Hospice in the presence of his family.

He is mourned by his wife Stephanie and his children Marcus and Sarah, his mother Claire and brother Gerard. Justice Hannan was pre-deceased by his father, Seán.

Justice Hannan’s remains will be reposing at his home, 11 Thornberry, Barna, Galway, on Tuesday 25 February from 5-7 pm.

Requiem

Removal will be on Wednesday, 26 February, to Christ the King Church, Salthill, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11am.

A private cremation will follow. The family has asked that donations, in lieu of flowers, may be sent (if desired) in memory of Judge Hannan to Galway Hospice.
