Mason Hayes & Curran revenue up by 4% in 2019

The 4% jump in growth was spread across different sectors, including technology and data privacy, energy, financial services, and litigation.

The firm also appointed 12 new partners across a range of practice areas, bringing the total number of partners to 90.

Mason Hayes & Curran is the only major law firm in Ireland to release turnover figures.

Declan Black, who was selected for a third term as managing partner in November last year, said: "Doing well as a law firm is simply about consistently working hard, and cleverly, for clients.

Optimistic

He said the firm was optimistic about this year, with a ‘positive’ outlook for its clients given the strength of the Irish economy – he expects to add 50 staff to its existing 500 employees.

"As political stability has returned to the UK, the economic markers for Ireland are strong. Ireland has remained remarkably centrist, progressive and pragmatic in its politics, and free from the polarised and corrosive discourse seen in so many other countries, and that’s a real competitive advantage for our economy and society,” he said.
