1500 senior cycle students log on to Legal Ambitions

Legal Ambitions Summer School is a new and innovative outreach programme offered by the Law Society Law School.

The programme encourages students to consider a career in law and offers an insight into the role of a solicitor in practice.

The inaugural Summer School has attracted over 1500 senior cycle students from across Ireland and was opened this morning by director general Ken Murphy.

It is a free programme delivered entirely online and covers dynamic themes such as social justice, human rights and climate change.

Range of speakers

Over the next four weeks, participants will hear from a diverse range of speakers, through short video interviews and presentations supported with interactive content, such as online quizzes and additional educational resources, to help deepen the learning experience.

The summer school will provide students with an insight into how the law is relevant to their daily lives and promote awareness of the constitutional principles, rights and values which underpin the rule of law in Ireland.
