EU law journal seeks to refresh editorial board

The Irish Society for European Law (ISEL) which publishes the Irish Journal of European Law (IJEL) has issued a call for expressions of interest for its newly-restructured incoming editorial board.

IJEL is Ireland’s leading journal for analysis of European law and the move follows a governance review.

Responsibility

Discrete positions on the editorial board are to be established, including articles editor, case notes editor and legislation editor, with the goal of diffusing responsibility across the board.

Members are expected to come from a range of legal backgrounds. No in-person meetings are anticipated with business to be conducted online.

Chair Aoife Beirne BL says that it is important at this time of change, that European law research and scholarship reaches both a national and international readership, with peer-reviewed scholarly articles.

The IJEL is distributed to ISEL members and also reaches an international cohort through distribution on Westlaw and HeinOnline.

Those interested should email a 500-word expression of interest to mailto:admin@isel.ie

The deadline for submissions is 7 September.
