Solicitor Ray Finnegan appointed to District Court

Solicitor Raymond Finnegan is to be appointed to the District Court.

The vacancy arises following the appointment of Judge Colin Daly, former President of the District Court, to the Circuit Court on 15 March.

Vacancy

Judge Paul Kelly was appointed as President of the District Court and assigned to the Dublin Metropolitan District (DMD) in March, creating an assignment vacancy in District 1 (Donegal).

Mr Finnegan will be assigned to District 1. 

He was educated at NUI Galway, and awarded with an LLB (Hons) in 1996.

Richard Finnegan qualified as a solicitor in May 2000. Originally from Kells, he now lives in Bohermeen in Navan and is active in the GAA.
