Taylor Wessing appoints duo for Dublin
International law firm Taylor Wessing has appointed two new partners, as it prepares to open an office in Dublin.
Adam Griffiths, who was previously a member of the firm’s private equity group, has returned to lead its Dublin operations.
Griffiths is a corporate lawyer with experience in private equity and merger-and-acquisition (M&A) deals.
Tech and life sciences targeted
Deirdre MacCarthy will join Taylor Wessing as a partner from international law firm Maples Group, on completion of her notice period.
She has experience in cross-border corporate transactions, particularly in the technology and life-sciences sectors.
“As we indicated when we announced our plans to open an office in Ireland, this is a natural progression of our strategy to be present in significant hubs for tech and life sciences,” said managing partner Shane Gleghorn.
Announcing the Irish move in April, the firm’s corporate partner James Goold (pictured) had described Dublin as “a thriving, dynamic city”, adding that Cork and Galway were recognised as among the leading tech and innovation hubs in the world.
