M&A partner appointed at William Fry

William Fry has named Liam Arthur as a partner in its corporate M&A department, starting in January 2022. 

Arthur joins William Fry from Proskauer, London, where he has worked for the last six years, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, equity co-investments, consortium transactions and joint ventures. 

Prior to Proskauer, he worked with Debevoise & Plimpton, and SJ Berwin in London.

Complex transactions

William Fry’s corporate M&A department works on complex transactions and advisory work in Ireland, as well as large cross-border deals with an Irish aspect.

Recent deals include advising on:

  • The disposal of Davy,
  • The acquisition of UDG Healthcare Plc by CD&R, and
  • The sale of its Bank of Ireland shares by the Department of Finance.
