Matheson strengthens presence in London, New York
Matheson, Ireland’s largest law firm, has announced several senior moves in its corporate M&A practice that are aimed at beefing up its presence in London and New York.
Corporate partner Sandra Lord is moving to a role in the firm’s London team, while another corporate partner, David Jones, will move to Matheson’s New York office.
Jones will be joined in New York by senior associate Eoin Shiel, from Matheson’s financial-institutions group.
Lord has extensive experience advising on international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, shareholders’ agreements, investment agreements and joint ventures, venture capital and private-equity transactions, and corporate reorganisations and restructurings.
Key locations
Jones advises on a broad range of public- and private-company transactions, specialising in equity-capital-markets deals, public-company M&A, group reorganisations and corporate re-domiciliations.
Matheson’s managing partner Michael Jackson said that the appointments underlined the firm’s strong commitment to investing in its overseas operations.
“Building on our long-standing presence in London and New York, these moves continue to further our growth in what are two key locations for Matheson,” he stated.
