Rename and rebrand for risk-management firm

The Institute of Legal Research and Standards (ILRS) has announced that it will be known in future as the Legal Quality Standard of Ireland (LQSI) after a rebranding.

The company was formed in 2009 in response to a demand for risk-management procedures within law firms after the economic crash.

It awards a risk, quality and practice-management standard called LQSI Q to Irish law firms.

Training

It says that its risk-management audits “independently verify that firms have the correct policies and procedures in place to ensure that firms are operating to the highest required standards while also serving the best interests of their clients”.

The company also helps firms to develop risk-management policies, and provides training in specific areas, such as GDPR.
