New head of aviation and asset finance at MHC

Business-law firm Mason Hayes & Curran (MHC) has appointed David McGovern as its head of aviation and asset finance.

He succeeds current MHC chair Christine O’Donovan, who will continue to work in the aviation-finance team, as well as in a leadership role in the financial-services group.

Before joining MHC, McGovern worked for two other international law firms, as well as global aircraft-leasing company SMBC Aviation Capital. He is a graduate of UCD and King’s Inns.

'Accomplished lawyer'

McGovern brings 20 years of experience to the team, in both private practice and in-house roles across the Irish and international aviation industry.

Managing partner Declan Black described him as "a very accomplished and senior lawyer".
