Law firm Pinsent Masons has hired litigation lawyer Lisa Carty (pictured) as a partner to lead its litigation practice in Dublin.
A former chair of the Litigation Committee of the Law Society of Ireland, she joins Pinsent Masons from William Fry, where she had been a partner since 2011.
Carty has more than 20 years’ experience advising on a wide range of commercial cases – including contractual disputes, investment disputes, professional negligence, and judicial reviews against public bodies.
She also advises on regulatory issues, and has a particular focus on the financial-services sector, advising financial institutions and individuals subject to Central Bank investigations.
Ann Lalor (head of Pinsent Masons’ Dublin office) said that Carty had “an outstanding reputation’ in the market.
“Her extensive experience will further enhance our strong litigation practice by adding significant financial-services litigation capabilities to the services we offer to our client base in Ireland and internationally,” Lalor added.
