ByrneWallace appoints new tax director

Law firm ByrneWallace LLP has appointed Nadia de Wet as its new tax director and head of compliance services.

She has held senior leadership roles previously within the ‘big four’ professional-services firms, advising clients on multiple areas of corporate-taxation law across multiple industries.

ByrneWallace’s head of tax Anthony Smyth said that de Wet had a comprehensive understanding of tax-compliance challenges across multiple industries.

“Her expertise also extends to leading multi-national engagements, which showcases her proven ability to navigate complex tax landscapes and deliver tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of each client,” he added.

Feargal Brennan (managing partner) said that the move followed on from the firm’s recent appointment of partners Orla Riddell (tax), Donal O’Donovan (banking and finance), Jonathan Lynch (corporate), and ‘of counsel’ Sean Neville (restructuring and insolvency).
