New tax partner named at William Fry

William Fry LLP has announced that Colin Bolger (pictured) has joined the firm as a partner in its tax department.

Bolger, who joins from ByrneWallace, is a solicitor, chartered accountant and chartered tax advisor.

William Fry says that he has extensive experience providing tax advice to many of Ireland's leading private- and public-sector organisations, international corporations, financial institutions and private-equity firms.

Inward investment

He advises clients on tax issues linked to inward investment, mergers and acquisitions, capital-investment structures, restructurings, financing, tax disputes and property structuring.

Bolger had previously worked in KPMG for several years.

Sonya Manzor (head of tax at William Fry) said: “Our continued investment in the best people underlines our commitment to the delivery of consistently excellent results for our clients.”

The firm’s tax department is the sole Irish member of Taxand, an independent organisation of tax experts with more than 700 tax partners and over 3,000 tax advisors across 48 countries.
