Blackhall team progress at global moot contest

The Law Society has congratulated a team of trainee solicitors for progressing to the final rounds of the recent Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court competition.

The successful team consists of:

  • Andrea Whelton (Arthur Cox LLP) from Leap, West Cork, 
  • Aoibhín O’Connor (Denise Kelleher & Associates Solicitors, Cork) from Ballinhassig, Cork,
  • and Jennifer Ryan (Matheson LLP) from Castletroy, Limerick.

Finals

The Law Society team reached the octo-finals, placing within the top 16 teams in the world.

The competition took place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland from 17 – 21 July.

The Law Society team was coached by solicitor Alysha Hoare.
