Walkers promotes seven lawyers in Irish office

Walkers, which specialises in international financial-services law, has promoted Eoin Ryan to partner in its corporate team in Ireland.

In addition, the firm has also promoted a number of lawyers to become of counsel and senior associates in its Irish office, as part of a global round of promotions.

Ryan (pictured), who joined Walkers as an associate in 2016, advises clients on corporate, merger-and-acquisition (M&A), commercial and restructuring matters under Irish law.

In the practice group that covers asset management and investment funds, Jennifer Brady and Michael Dyulgerov have been promoted to of counsel. Both lawyers joined the firm as associates in 2017, and are part of the firm's global investment-funds group.

Senior associates

There were also promotions to senior-associate level for:

  • Charlotte Chestnutt (finance and capital markets),
  • Clare Mannion (finance and capital markets),
  • Aengus Gormley (asset management and investment funds), and
  • Maria Pule (asset management and investment funds).

In the firm's professional-services business, WPS, Colm O Murchadha was promoted to senior vice-president, while Sean Cleary and Laura Quinn were promoted to vice-president.

There were also a number of further promotions in Ireland across WPS, as well as the firm's business-services teams.

Jonathan Sheehan (managing partner of Walkers' Irish office) said that the promotions, as well as the firm’s continued investment in staff and services, demonstrated the strength of its practice groups and client base, and the confidence the firm had in its business.
