Difficult conversations with vulnerable people

Law Society Skillnet is planning a half-day course that will provide those working in the legal-services sector with the skills needed to pass on bad news to clients and others.

The training is focused on how to manage a difficult conversation with others, particularly those who are vulnerable.

The in-person course takes place at the Law Society in Blackhall Place on 7 June and runs from 2pm to 5pm.

Three CPD hours are available.

Numbers on this workshop are limited to 15 participants.

The topics covered include:

  • What is your preferred conflict-handling style?,
  • Listening and showing empathy,
  • Role plays: Implementing the skills of the training, and
  • Remaining resilient when delivering difficult news.
