Family-law conference now open for registration

The Family and Child Law Conference 2023 will take place online on Friday 1 December (10am to 2pm).

The event will examine recent developments in core areas of family-law practice and childcare-law practice.

The objective of the conference is to provide practitioners with a concise and essential overview of the many recent developments and the implications for day-to-day client advice, and practice and procedure.

The conference is worth four general CPD hours and is now open for registration.

Topics and speakers

Topics and issues to be covered include:

  • Case-law update,
  • Panel discussion on parental alienation,
  • Wellbeing and the family-law practitioner,
  • Domestic violence and coercive control,
  • Pre-nuptials, and
  • Guardian ad litem – an update.

The conference will be chaired by Peter Doyle (Peter Doyle Solicitors).

Speakers include:

  • Gerard Durcan SC,
  • Keith Walsh (principal, Keith Walsh Solicitors),
  • Donagh McGowan (Donagh McGowan & Co Solicitors),
  • Helena Kiely (chief prosecution solicitor),
  • Antoinette Moriarty (head of Law Society Psychological Services), and
  • Aisling Meehan (Aisling Meehan Agricultural Solicitors).
