Griffith College employment-law event

Griffith College Cork ‘s law faculty is to host an event on employment law later this month, chaired by Circuit Court Judge Helen Boyle.

The event will take place at Griffith College, Wellington Road, Cork on Monday 22 April (4.30pm).

The speakers are:

  • Elizabeth O'Connell SC: ‘The employment injunction: Buttimer v Oak Fuel Supermarket Limited trading as CostCutter Rathcormac,
  • Paul Hegarty BL: ‘Pretender privilege in employment complaints: A trespass on the hallowed ground of lawyers!’,
  • William Fenney BL: ‘Ask not what your employer can do for you, but what you can do for your employer?’: work-life balance, the right to disconnect, and the law, and
  • Jeffrey Hitchmough BL: ‘Restraint of trade in employment contracts: the state of the law’.

There is a €20 fee.
