Addleshaw Goddard’s Irish revenue surges

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard’s revenue from its Irish business grew by more than 30% in the financial year to the end of April.

Globally, the firm reported turnover of Stg £495.6 million – up 12% – and a 14% higher profit of £210.5 million.

Addleshaw Goddard, which entered the Irish market after a merger with Eugene F Collins in 2022, recently announced plans to move to new offices in Dublin city centre in January next year.

Total staff numbers at the firm grew by 6% to 2,700, with 72 new partners added during the financial year.

Growing demand

Andrew Johnston (Addleshaw Goddard managing partner) said: "These results show us continuing our positive trajectory with higher revenues, improved profitability, and strong cash position.

“We saw growing client demand across a number of service-lines, particularly in areas we have been investing in, such as funds, restructuring, global investigations and financial services,” he added.

UK income was up 11%, while income from the Middle East jumped by 28%. Other areas recorded growth of 24%.
