Solicitors’ stories to feature at Blackhall festival

Law Society Psychological Services has announced further details of its annual marquee event, which is on the theme of Well Within the Law.

Part of the Law Society’s new Culture First initiative, the festival will explore and celebrate ways of making legal workplaces stronger and more connected.

The event takes place on Wednesday 4 September (5.30pm to late) at Blackhall Place, Dublin.

The Law Society is inviting members of the legal profession to attend, and those interested are asked to book now.

Stories sought

As part of a new partnership with Elephant in the Room, founder Brent Pope will be taking part in a conversation at the event, where the Law Society will also unveil its own designed elephant sculpture.

Craicly Stories will also be involved in a storytelling element during the evening, with six guest speakers sharing their stories.

The organisers are also seeking stories from legal practitioners about a memorable true experience where the support, generosity or involvement of a colleague helped them through a challenging time.

Slán Solas

Law Society Psychological Services is also teaming up with Slán Solas for ‘Unwind and Power Up’, which features gentle yoga, breathwork, sound baths, and live music. This is open to solicitors and trainees.

Workshops promoting psychological wellbeing and positive culture will take place across the festival, both in-person and online.

There will also be laid back music and a relaxed barbecue, offering lots of opportunities to connect with colleagues from across the profession.
