(L to R): William Brennan, Donal O’Kelly, and Hugh McGroddy
McGroddy Brennan merges with Donal O’Kelly & Co
Leinster law firm McGroddy Brennan LLP Solicitors has completed a merger with Donal O’Kelly and Co Solicitors, with the deal coming into effect yesterday (1 December).
McGroddy Brennan, which has offices in Dublin city centre and Ashbourne, Co Meath, provides legal advice on property, commercial, family, employment, social housing, mediation, dispute resolution, litigation, and probate.
Donal O’Kelly and his colleagues, Gillian Harford and Selina Lacy, will operate from McGroddy Brennan’s main office at 33 Upper Merrion Street, Dublin 2, while continuing to manage his largely Dublin and Leinster-based practice.
‘Excellent additions’
McGroddy Brennan says that the latest deal is in line with its expansion plans, and follows a merger with Paul Ferris and Co a year ago.
The firm’s joint managing partner William Brennan said: “We are delighted to be joining up with Donal. He is a gentleman to deal with and greatly respected by his clients. Donal’s colleagues Silena and Gillian will also be excellent additions to the team.”
The merger is the third announced in the legal sector in the past week, following the merger of ByrneWallace and LK Shields and Flynn O’Driscoll’s deal with Vincent & Beatty.
