Free speech on agenda at Media Bar event

The Media, Internet and Data Protection Bar Association conference this year will take place on Friday, 21 June at 1pm at the Law Library Distillery Building in Dublin 7.

This conference will consider the major issues pertaining to media, data protection and internet law from the previous 12 months.

Freedom of expression

Topics for discussion will include hate speech and freedom of expression, compensation for data breaches and the issue of online anonymity.

Speakers will include:

  • Claire Hogan BL,
  • Michael O' Doherty BL,
  • Grace Sullivan BL.

A reception will follow at 5.30pm at the Sheds, Law Library Distillery Building, Dublin 7.

Attendance will yield three CPD points.
