Protests and rates on LASBA’s Cork agenda

This year’s Local Authorities Solicitors Bar Association (LASBA) summer conference will take place in Cork City Council offices on 24 May at 9.30am.

The event will hear an update on conveyancing from Vincent McKechnie BL, while Sarah Jane Judge BL will deliver an address entitled ‘What is Peaceful Protest?’, which will examine key legal principles and advisable approaches for local authorities.

The conference will also hear from sleep consultant Lucy Wolfe on learning to sleep well.

Meg Burke BL will speak in the afternoon session on the uncertainties surrounding rates.

Kevin O’Leary and Breda Sheahan (Cork County Council) will also address the conference on the Dog Breeding Establishments Act 2010.

Attendance at the event is worth five CPD hours (four general, one wellness).
