Flynn O’Driscoll to merge with Vincent & Beatty

Corporate-law firm Flynn O’Driscoll LLP has announced a merger agreement with commercial-law firm Vincent & Beatty LLP.

The deal will take effect from 1 January 2025.

Flynn O’Driscoll, which was founded in 2002 and has offices in Dublin, Galway, and Shannon, described the merger as the latest step in its “ambitious” growth strategy, adding that it brought the firm’s total headcount to 140.

Clients of Vincent & Beatty, which was founded in 1846, will continue to be advised by their existing contacts in the firm.

Partners

Under the agreement, Vincent & Beatty’s managing partner Miriam Delaney, as well as partners Walter Beatty and Rebecca Matthews, will join Flynn O’Driscoll as partners.

“This merger is not only an opportunity to broaden our expertise, but it’s also part of our ongoing strategy to expand and diversify our practice to better serve our clients’ evolving needs,” said Flynn O’Driscoll managing partner James Duggan.

“We believe this step is the best strategic move in the interest of all of our stakeholders,” stated Miriam Delaney of Vincent & Beatty, while Walter Beatty described the rationale for the deal as “compelling”.
