The Local Authorities Solicitors Bar Association (LASBA) will hold its winter seminar at Civic Offices, Dublin City Council, Wood Quay, Dublin 8, on Friday 29 November.
The seminar will run from 9.15am to 4.15pm, with a fee of €200 including lunch.
The agenda is being finalised, but the seminar will include a talk on environmental assessments by James Morris (Eversheds).
There will also be a discussion on in-house client care and professional standards, as well as on ethics and local-government legislation and complaints procedures.
The afternoon session will include a talk on injunctive relief and section 160 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 given by Patricia Murphy (Cork County Council).
Liam O’Connell BL will speak on rates, while the seminar will conclude with a presentation from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) on bid-rigging and competition law
Four CPD hours will accrue for attendance.
