Labour leader next for Law Society series

The leader of the Labour Party Ivana Bacik TD will be the next speaker in the Law Society’s In conversation with leadership series.

The live online Zoom conversation with Law Society Director General Mark Garrett will take place on 30 October (1pm).

As the country looks towards a general election, they will discuss her vision for Ireland and what that may mean for the legal system and the profession.

Leadership lessons

The conversation will also be an opportunity to reflect on leadership lessons from a varied career.

A qualified barrister, Deputy Bacik was appointed Reid Professor of Criminal Law, Criminology and Penology at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) Law School in 1996.

Registration for the event is now open.

Paschal Donohoe (Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform) took part in the first conversation in the series last month.
