New listings, IT directors at Matheson

Law firm Matheson has appointed two new directors, in the areas of technology and stock-market listings.

Anthony Byrne becomes Director of International Listing Services, while Luke Tyrrell has been named as Director of Information Technology.

Byrne has worked in the stock-exchange industry for 20 years, in a career that has included senior leadership positions at the Irish Stock Exchange (now Euronext Dublin).

‘Essential’ roles

His role at Matheson includes advising the firm’s global clients on the most suitable listing options available for their transactions, and securing a successful listing on their behalf.

Tyrrell joins Matheson after a 20-year career of technology-leadership experience, having worked in the financial services, healthcare, and construction sectors in Ireland and abroad, as well as in a large international law firm in Ireland.

Matheson’s managing partner Michael Jackson described the roles as “strategic” and “essential” in ensuring that the firm remained at the forefront of technology and global market trends.
