Seminar on human dignity and the law

The Lismullin Institute will hold a seminar on human dignity and the law this Saturday, 9 November at 11am.

The venue is Lismullin Conference Centre in Navan, Co Meath C15 XW40.

Attendance yields four general hours of CPD by group study. 

The event aims to bring together legal professionals, academics and those with a keen interest in the legal issues involved in human rights.

Speakers:

  • Judge Vincent de Gaetano: Former Judge and Section President of the European Court of Human Rights and Chief Justice Emeritus of Malta,
  • Dr Marie-Luce Paris: Associate Professor in Law at UCD Sutherland School of Law and Academic Director of the UCD Centre for Human Rights,
  • Professor Christopher McCrudden: Professor of Human Rights and Equality Law at Queen’s University Belfast, and
  • Lord Justice Bernard McCloskey: Lord Justice of Appeal of Northern Ireland.
