Update on Dublin Circuit family law case progression

Case progression lists before the County Registrar, will now take place during callovers at 10am and 2pm on assigned days, the Courts Service has said.

The matters will be dealt with at Court 35, first floor, Áras Uí Dhálaigh, Four Courts Complex, Inns Quay, Dublin 7.

The important changes, designed to make the family law case progression system more effective, were made by new Dublin County Registrar Ms Patricia Hickey in a practice direction published yesterday (8 October).

Solicitors should also ensure that ‘notices to trustees’ have been served on all pensions, prior to the first case progression hearing.

The appropriate affidavit of service should also be filed in the Circuit Family Court in plenty of time before the hearing.

Without such documentation, the matter will not be allocated a date for hearing or transferred to the list to fix dates.
