Dentons adds two to Dublin corporate team

Global law firm Dentons has added two new partners to boost its Irish corporate practice.

Both have been recruited from the London offices of high-profile international law firms.

Garrett Hayes (small picture, centre) joins Dentons from McDermott Will & Emery, having previously been a partner at Paul Hastings London for more than ten years.

Louise Hodnett (small picture, right) joins from Baker McKenzie in London, having trained in Ireland at McCann FitzGerald.

‘High-calibre’ partners

Hayes has spent his career to date in Britain, where he worked on many large international deals. He also has extensive experience in the Irish market, having advised on numerous major Irish corporate deals for more than 20 years.

Hodnett’s focus has been on M&A (mergers and acquisitions), with particular expertise in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Paul Jarvis (CEO for Dentons' UK, Ireland and Middle East Region) said that the corporate practice was continuing to drive the firm’s success in Dublin.

“The hire of another two high-calibre partners supports our growth objectives,” he added.

Eavan Saunders (managing partner of Dentons Ireland) said that the two new partners brought “a wealth of talent and experience” to the corporate team.
