Matheson adds three to employment team
Law firm Matheson LLP has made new appointments in its practice covering employment, pensions, and benefits.
The firm has named Alice Duffy as partner, while Rachel Barry and Jennifer Bassett have joined Matheson as senior associates.
Matheson now has an employment-and-pensions team of 28 lawyers – including six partners and 11 senior associates.
Multi-national companies
New partner Duffy initially trained with Clyde & Co before joining Matheson in 2014 as a senior associate. From 2019 she worked with a leading international law firm, before recently rejoining Matheson as partner.
She is particularly experienced in supporting multi-national companies on international projects such as expansions of their global workforces and restructuring.
Barry has joined Matheson from another large Irish law firm, where she worked on disciplinary investigations, litigation, employment contracts, and equality law.
Bassett has joined the firm from the Irish office of a large international law firm and has extensive experience in providing advice and support on employment-law compliance issues, workforce restructuring, and internal employee procedures.
Michael Jackson (managing partner) said that Duffy’s experience in advising multi-nationals, particularly in the technology sector, aligned with Matheson’s long-standing strategic focus on international businesses and financial institutions doing business in and from Ireland.
