Taylor Wessing teams up with ‘green techies’

International law firm Taylor Wessing is to provide pro bono legal advice to a group of technology businesses that have committed to reducing their carbon footprint.

It is the first legal firm to partner with the not-for-profit organisation, called Techies Go Green.

Taylor Wessing will advise the group’s members on climate-action opportunities and risks, sustainable investments, internal governance arrangements, stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment with national and global standards.

The organisation will also be presenting at Techies Go Green Live in the Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC) in Dublin on Thursday 17 October.

Collaboration

The event aims to bring businesses together to explore the significant impacts of climate change and the actions companies can take to mitigate it.

Techies Go Green was founded in 2021, and its members include tech SME and Fortune 500 companies. It supports members through knowledge-sharing, networking, and collaboration to support them to decarbonise their operations.

Paddy Quinlan (partner, Taylor Wessing Ireland) said that the firm was excited at the prospect of collaborating on sustainability with leading technology firms in Ireland and Britain.

Taylor Wessing operates a full-service office in Dublin, where it opened in 2021.
