William Fry highest Irish firm on FT innovation list

Dublin-based law firm William Fry LLP was the highest-ranked of three Irish firms listed in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Report, published on Friday (13 September).

The report, which ranks the 50 most innovative law firms in Europe, put William Fry in 34th place.

The other Irish firms listed were Arthur Cox (45th) and Matheson (48th).

The list was headed by US/British firm A&O Sherman.

The report highlighted William Fry innovations that included advising a group of bondholders on the largest court-ordered liquidation in the history of the State, and advising Elavon on the first cross-border conversion into Ireland of an entity incorporated in another EEA member state.

Owen O'Sullivan (managing partner, William Fry) said that the recognition had come after “an exceptional year” for the firm.
