Law Society members urged to share their views
The Law Society’s ongoing strategy is being shaped by continuous feedback from solicitors, according to Director General Mark Garrett.
The deadline for the current survey, which takes ten minutes to complete, has been extended until 18 April.
This survey, while not the only source of information, helps ensure that the Law Society’s strategy remains on track to best serve members in an ever-changing world.
“We’re two years since we did the last survey. We’re a year into the strategy,” Mark Garrett explained.
“This latest survey is a way for solicitors to feed back to the Law Society what’s happening in their work, their working environment, the business that they’re running, the services they’re offering to their clients, how that’s all evolving,” he added.
Feedback
This feedback is crucial in helping the Law Society understand how to best support its solicitor members.
It also provides an opportunity to inform broader Law Society discussions, particularly with government ministers and justice system administrators.
“The Law Society is constantly looking for feedback — by talking to our members, informally and formally, and using our committee systems,“ Mark Garrett added.
Ensuring a representative sample will be paramount to the validity of survey data, and the Law Society is pushing for a critical mass in terms of responses.
Responses will be cross-checked for bias by analysis across different segments, ensuring as broad and accurate a picture as possible.
The survey remains open until Friday 18 April.
