Law Society shortlisted for association awards

The Law Society has been shortlisted in two categories of the Association and Institute Awards.

The awards celebrate achievements, innovations, and contributions made by associations and professional bodies across a range of industries.

The Law Society has been nominated in the ‘Best Publication’ category for the Law Society Gazette, while it is also shortlisted for a ‘Social Impact Award’ for its organisation and promotion of the annual Calcutta Run, which has raised more than €5.6 million for charities since it began in 1999.

ESG ambitions

The awards ceremony takes place on 12 June at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire.

The Calcutta Run is part of the Law Society’s wider ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ambitions.

This year’s event, which aims to raise more than €350,000 for homelessness services in Ireland and Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), was launched last week.
