Solicitors: share your views, and shape your profession

Law Society Director General Mark Garrett has said that solicitors once again have a real opportunity to influence the future work of their representative body.

The Law Society is seeking feedback from practising solicitors, through the online survey recently sent out by research partner Ipsos B&A Research.

The survey remains open until Friday 11 April and is designed to garner the views of members on the future direction of the Law Society.

“The legal profession is evolving all the time, and this is a great way for the Law Society to hear directly from practising solicitors about what’s going on in their working lives,” DG Mark Garrett said.

From the information gathered in the survey, the Law Society would evolve to support solicitors, and the services that they needed to help them in their practice and their career, he added.

Five-year strategy

The Law Society placed a high value on input from solicitors, in order to shape its services and strategies, the DG said.

“Two years ago, the previous survey directly influenced the five-year strategy for the Law Society,” the DG added.

“Many of the initiatives in that strategy came directly from the feedback we received from practitioners.

“This, once again, is a real opportunity to influence the work of the Law Society.

“And we would really appreciate it if our members could take the time to fill out the survey,” the Director General urged.

The survey is fully anonymous and takes about ten minutes to complete.
