Courts Service updates on probate plans

The Courts Service is currently rolling out a new internal case-management system across the Probate Registry Office in Dublin and all registries nationwide.

The development is part of the organisation’s plans for the introduction of new back-office systems that will lead to an online portal.

The courts body described the new probate system as “an important step” towards enabling faster and smoother case-processing, as well as improved data quality and security.

Online portal

The introduction of the back-office internal system for probate registries paves the way for the next steps in the Courts Service’s modernisation – including an online portal later this year that will support online filing and payments.

The Courts Service has apologised for any inconvenience that users might experience during the process.
