Event to probe history and theory of law reform

The Law Reform Commission (LRC) and the Dublin University Law Journal (DULJ) will jointly host an event as part of the LRC's 50th anniversary celebrations this year.

The Re-forming Law Reform: Functions, Processes, and Mechanisms academic conference, hosted by Trinity Law School in partnership with the LRC, will explore the theory, history, and future of law reform.

Abstracts

Scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday 18 September at Trinity College Dublin, the conference will precede the LRC's related event Half a Century of Change: The Journey of Law Reform, which takes place the following day.

Extended abstracts (500-1,000 words) are invited for submission via email to dulj@tcd.ie by 28 February.

Papers from the conference will, subject to double-blind academic peer review, be published in the Dublin University Law Journal in 2026.
